Education
The catalogues in the A2A database describe archives - primary sources for
the study of history. Teachers and A-level students will find the A2A database a useful
additional resource (although currently A2A does not relate directly to the National Curriculum).
You can go to the People, Places and Subjects page (follow the link on the Search page)
to find whole catalogues which are rich in information on particular historical subjects, or on
historical figures (and ordinary individuals) - and which describe archives which will be
particularly useful for related research. Links to contact details are available from each
catalogue, so you can get in touch with the repository
where the archives are held for more information or to order copies.
You can also find references to particular people, organisations, places or
subjects mentioned in catalogues by typing a keyword (or phrase) into the box on the main Search
page. It is possible to search for variant spellings - help text is provided on this feature.
